About Delightful Quilting

Delightful Quilting is a blog for quilters of all kinds.  Whether you only enjoy making quilts, or are a sit down quilter at a domestic machine, a longarm quilter, or enjoy all parts of the quilting process, Delightful Quilting is a blog with information, tips and tricks, and inspiration that will educate and encourage you on your quilting journey.

Delightful Quilting is hosted by Delightful Quilting & Sewing, a Nolting longarm quilting machine dealership, located near Rochester, New York.  Delightful Quilting & Sewing also carries Quilter’s Rule templates, A Quilters Eye video monitoring system to see the bottom of the quilt while you are quilting (on a longarm), and other longarm related supplies.  We also offer professional longarm quilting for those that do not want to do their own quilting.

The blog is written by Joyce Blowers, owner of Delightful Quilting & Sewing.  Joyce has been sewing since she was a young teen and has been quilting for about 30 years.  She spent many years teaching high school science and as a college and career counselor at a small private school.  Joyce has taught sewing, heirloom sewing, and quilting for many years and especially enjoys teaching quilters that are just beginning their quilting journey.  Joyce formerly published an email newsletter called Snippets for quilters and sewers.

It is Joyce’s personal goal to help quilters grow in their knowledge and confidence of quilting by teaching fundamentals in addition to techniques.  The joy of quilting grows as the fundamentals and principals are applied and the quilter becomes more confident in trying new patterns, designs, layouts, and different types of quilt projects.   This blog is created “to help make your quilting journey a delightful one.”

1. The material has not been previously published on the Internet or on another blog.  The idea can be the same, but can not be posted exactly as previously written.
2. Blog content must be quilt related and can be about any area of quilting.
3. Blog should not exceed 400 words.
4. You agree to a provide a link to the Delightful Quilting blog on your website and/or blog.  Your website and/or blog will, in return, have a link from Delightful Quilting.  Both parties can benefit in SEO (search engine optimization) from these mutual links.
